Emo rap A-lister Kid Cudi was mistaken for a burglary suspect on Monday in L.A., shortly after leaving a photo shoot for NME. "It did not feel very comfortable," Cudi said of being handcuffed by abrasive LAPD officers. "I'm just really happy to be back."
Emily Mackay, the NME writer who was with Cudi at the scene of the incident, seens far more distressed. In a cynical, melodramatically-titled article called "The Day I Had a Gun Pointed At My Head By the LAPD," Mackay describes the experience as "quite scary" and accuses Americans of being "very different," as well as "pretty racist." (Keep in mind, NME is a British publication.) [MTV]
