We heard J. Cole address the fact that he was left off MTV's Hottest MCs list the other day (even though Sway and the "genius" round table made it sound like he was on the list), and while he's busy on his Club Paradise tour with Drake, Kendrick Lamar sat down with Karen Civil to share some thoughts on his omission from the list.
"I just look at it [MTV Hottest MCs List] as an opinion factor. It’s all about what the people want at the end of the day. The people know what it is. It’s not really a big thing to me, I know it’s more exposure, but the people know what it is. All it’s going to do is bring more controversy to the game. I think it’s dope, though."
I still don't understand how 2 Chainz, T.I. and Maino could make the list over Kendrick, but that's just the way it is. The interview goes on to more interesting talk involving K. Dot's supposed rivalry with fellow TDE cohort ScHoolboy Q, his work with Dr. Dre and the effect singer Alori Joh's death had on him. Check out the full deal below. [2DBZ]
