After much deliberation, Kendrick Lamar's debut album will finally grace the masses next month. After speculation surrounding the album title, the release date and who will feature--talk not helped by the fact that K. Dot has remained tight-lipped--it's been confirmed that good kid, m.A.A.d. city is the name, and it'll arrive on Oct. 22 via Top Dawg Ent./Aftermath.
Black Hippies ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock, as well as Dr. Dre and most surprisingly Lady Gaga, are all expected to make guest appearances, while "The Recipe" and "Swimming Pools (Drank)" are the current single offerings from the LP.
More details are likely to surface in coming weeks, but in the meantime, fans can get a look at the artwork for good kid, m.A.A.d. city above (and below for the deluxe edition cover). "A short film by Kendrick Lamar" it reads, cementing our expectations that this will be more than just a regular album. [HHNM]
