Kelis had her baby yesterday after 24 hours of labor. "My son's name is Knight,” Nas said in a Video Music Box video today regarding the birth of the child. "That's what I named the young God, Knight.”
It’s an appropriate name given the domestic battlefield on which the child has been born: in fact, Nas and Kelis had to postpone a divorce hearing so that she could have the baby.
A source told AllHipHop.com that Nas was barred from being present during the birth. “While this is clearly heartbreaking to him,” says the source, “Nas continues to offer his support and love to his new baby boy and his mother.”
