Keith Richards Quits Drinking

Keith Richards has gone and done what he promised he'd never do: The Rolling Stones guitarist has decided to quit roughly 60 years of getting pissed and is giving up the drink. It should be mentioned that Richards was probably drunk when he said that, and his blood is recognized as an alcoholic substance on five continents. And saying he'd quit booze is the longest period of sobriety he's had since 1961. 

All kidding aside, good for Richards. Dude's been a walking booze and drugs cliche since about 1973, so at least now people won't be able to call him a drunk. It's said that Ron Wood's recent trips to rehab and fall off the wagon prompted Richards to get clean.  [Daily Swarm]
