Those of you who get your digital music the old fashioned way - stealing it - may be interested to hear about the settlement Kazaa has made with the music publishing industry. The National Music Publisher's Association made a statement, perhaps with pinky pointed to the corner of their mouth, that Kazaa had agreed to pay "a substantial sum". Such vagueness is ever the stuff of poetry. Personally I stockpiled all of my obscure b-sides, remixes, and Kid Koala's hard to find Scratchappyland during the OG Napster days, but if you like adware with your music sharing service, Kazaa may serve your needs for some time to come.
