It's hard to imagine that anything would even overshadow the release of a new Kanye West album in the music world, but from our tinted windows, it seems that Guns N' Roses has managed to dominate all music discussions. Expect some kind of response from Kanye soon, as he is not only not one to be upstaged, but especially when the album he released is exponentially better than the one dominating the internet. Prefix gave 808s & Heartbreak a glowing review, and we were not alone.

Of course, the fact that a response from Kanye seems almost inevitable at this point is part of the problem. That led to this daily portion of haterade: The Top Ten Reasons Why Kanye West Is a Douche (link).

This article got some serious traction on Digg over the weekend, and it's a pretty funny list. All the incidents check out. While we'd hope that Kanye's behavior outside his music wouldn't influence our judgment of his work, it's admittedly hard to listen to Kanye the same way after reading this list. It's the same reason why I struggle to listen to O.K. Computer at this point.
