Though it's unclear exactly when it happened, TMZ is reporting that Katy Perry turned down a whopping offer of $20 million to be a judge on the next season of American Idol. The report also has it that Idol had originally offered Perry $18 million -- the same amount that new judge Mariah Carey will be getting next season -- but soon raised it. However, Perry is insisting that she "was NOT interested [in judging] and money wasn't the issue."
As we told you earlier in the week, Nicki Minaj will be joining Carey and Randy Jackson next season, the show's 12th. It's unclear whether Idol is still trying to pick up Kanye West.
