The designer claimed that Perry had sent a cease and desist order in June, even though their names have different spellings. The case was just one hour away from going to court in Canberra, Australia, when it was suddenly dropped. "I went to sleep last night worrying about this case and whether I was going to lose my business and now all that has changed," the designer said. “Physically and mentally it's taken a huge toll.”

The confusion surrounding the case was heightened when the singer claimed she wasn’t suing her almost-namesake, even though the trial was set to go to court. The last word goes to Katie Perry: “I've learnt a lot of lessons through this - mostly to stick to my guns. I still have to work tonight but I think I'll find time for a glass of champagne as well."
