Signs are indicating that Katy Perry might be better at being famous than making music. After spending what seems like most of the decade being seen with British rake Russell Brand, Perry is now in talks to voice Smurfette in the upcoming feature helmed by Raja Gosnell, most recently seen as Chaka in Land of the Lost. Though a movie role might seem like a feather in a young singer's cap, what's even better than that is a sophomore album with a couple of hit singles. Even more ominous for Perry's possible jump to the big screen is that there are absolutely no girls to kiss in Smurf Village. [NME]
