If I were Katy I would rethink about being around Travis. This reflects back on in a negative way. By no means she's a cool singer, but Katy please date someone with a cleaner image.

Look at Gwen Stefani and her career, it is sheer quality. She married a clean cut man (Bush), there never any negative press about her. She has really set her career path right. I'm sure Katy knows she sucks, since she’s the one sucking, but many like yourself have yet to look into melodyne and discover the man behind the curtain that is the illusion of your music product. I work at a music store, where we sell autotune and melodyne. I know what they sound like. Katy Perry doesn't sing on her album. I saw her sing live; she can't carry a tune, and she has nowhere near the range that's on her big singles. Just because the voices no longer sound computerized to you doesn't mean they aren't. Technology is constantly improving. Why, the new version of melodyne can actually allow you to chance a single note in a complex guitar chord out of a waveform. That's insane, and many thought it would never be possible.

And the only reason I'm not keeping my opinion to myself is because I find Katy Perry's lyrics morally reprehensible and irresponsible, as well as the fact she's a complete fake. That makes me angry, especially when pop culture fans blindly label her "an amazing voice and true talent." That is an insult to the people who actually make music and don't pander to the lowest common denominator in a male fantasy dominated culture. I also write music reviews for a competing website, so I consider pointing out such hack attempts at fake music part of my job. It's not simply that I don't enjoy this music; I know it's not music, but a commercially produced product, and I feel responsible to point out that elephant. We both have our motivation here.
Ultimately, for the future, the best way to deal with someone like me is to ignore me, not debate me. Don't fuel the fire. You're never going to make me feel bad for ripping on a pop hack and shaming the people gullible and/or complacent enough to fall for her act.

They are my exact sentiments about Katy Perry and her pathetic and desperate attempt at trying to get more attention from a certain type of naive and immature audience who are vapid enough to eat it up. I see her as this cheap opportunist whose claim to fame is rising to the charts by declaring that she's a pseudo-bisexual, if there ever was one, in a meaningless song she "sang". It angers me to look back at the music we had and were listening to in the past and how it's been reduced to s**t like the aforementioned Katy Perry songs. I fear that her songs will be the catalyst to even more shallow, hyper-sexualized and meaningless crap that people will deem "sensational and daring". When in reality, it's the complete opposite. Finally, someone with a brain and good taste. :D
