New Kathleen Edwards album to flower in March
Singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards is scheduled to release her next album, Asking for Flowers, on March 4. As with 2005's much-lauded Back to Me, the newbie will see release via Zoe/Rounder. A helpful gal herself (she recently guested prominently on the recent John Doe album), Edwards sees some favors returned on Asking. Find out who shows up on the album after the jump...
Guests include legendary keyboardist Benmont Tench (best known for his work with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), pedal steel guitarist Greg Leisz, drummer Don Heffington (who has worked with Bob Dylan) and bassist Bob Glaub (who has worked with Leonard Cohen). Production duties on Asking were handled by Edwards and Jim Scott.
