Karma: KISS YouTube Channel Taken Down Due To Copyright Infringement

Gene Simmons is having a torrid time on the Internet of late. The latest thorn in his side is the OfficialKISSonline YouTube channel, which has been yanked from the site for an alleged breach of copyright laws. A message on the channel reads: “This channel has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of our community guidelines, and/or claims of copyright infringement.”

This must be a bitter pill for Simmons to swallow, following his recent tirades against folks who have infringed his copyrights by making KISS albums available for free online. He claimed the music industry was “asleep at the wheel” when the initial wave of piracy hit the web, and offered the following advice: "Make sure your brand is protected. Make sure there are no incursions. Be litigious. Sue everybody. Take their homes, their cars. Don't let anybody cross that line."

One of the messages embedded in the KISS YouTube clips states that S’more Entertainment had lodged a breach of rights claim against the band, so there’s one company that clearly took Simmons’s advice to heart. Right now he’s probably ruing the day that the Internet was invented.
