Music composed for movies is no longer contained on the silver screen and a soundtrack album. Jack White’s James Bond theme surfaced in a Coke Zero ad, and Karen O has licensed her music from Where the Wild Things Are for an anti-obesity campaign. With recorded music failing to generate big bucks, other commercial opportunities need to be explored.
The ad features the song “All is Love” from the soundtrack to the Spike Jonze film. Anyone stumbling across the clip might think it’s a trailer for the movie, as many of the creatures from the film are present, but the underlying message is to try and get kids to play so they don’t gain weight. More details on the campaign can be found here.
