Listen: Karen O’s “Strange Love” For Tim Burton Soundtrack

Karen O’s latest mission? Record the closing credits of Tim Burton’s upcoming Frankenweenie remake. Ms. O is no stranger to recording music for kids’ movies, having done the incredible soundtrack for Where The Wild Things Are under the moniker Karen O and the Kids. And, like Tim Burton movies, this new track, “Strange Love,” should be appealing to kids and adults alike. It’s a goofy, loopy song that sounds like a cross between surf rock and a Burt Bacharach original. The chorus is typically Tim Burton-esque in theme: “Love is strange, oh oh/When there’s beauty on the inside/The outside, there’s nothin’ to ch-ch-change.”

BBC Radio 6 premiered the cut, whose recorded version can be streamed below via Fake Walls
