Kanye West kicks off Glow in the Dark tour

The much-anticipated Glow in the Dark tour headlined by Kanye West and featuring Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D., and Rhianna made its first stop in Seattle last night. (For a review of the show, click here.) Apparently it looked like Kanye had prepared for a Parliament Funkadelic concert, packing the stage with smoke, flames, lasers, fog, dolls, and a spaceship. George Clinton didn't show up, of course, but this is evidence that West is taking the standard for rap shows to new heights. Despite the P-Funk nod, Kanye said  he was very much influenced by the Daft Punk world tour Alive 2007, which has been called the most visually stunning concert experience since Pink Floyd.
