Kanye West Talks About His Blog: "It's a Great Outlet"
Kanye West’s blog, which mostly consists of all-caps tirades and photos of scantily clad women and ultra expensive household gadgets, is one of the busiest artist-focused sites on the internet. It even afforded West the opportunity to quash rumors about his future in bisexual porn movies. Regular visitors to the blog are probably wondering how the hip-hop star gets time to provide such plentiful updates, and now he’s revealed his secret to New York magazine. “I have two people that I hired and I tell them exactly what I want — it's just like how a designer would work,” he said.

“I tell them, you know, Surface magazine, Wallpaper, ArchitecturalDigest, Hypebeast, Bossip — go to these different blogs and keep on pulling information.” The blog isn’t entirely the work of West’s lackeys, however, and he claims to always run an editorial eye over his minions’ finds. “They send it to me, and I get like 80 e-mails, and I have to check and go through them," he claims. "And sometimes I'll have my own stuff where I'll just be in a cool place, like if I had my camera right now, I'd like photograph this stuff and go home and be really excited to blog it. You know, cause I'm in cool places all the time."

West describes the blog as “a great outlet,” and it’s certainly demonstrated his taste for indie rock. Current postings include videos for new Franz Ferdinand and Bat for Lashes tracks, and who can forget his unlikely “shit is dope!” endorsement of Peter, Bjorn and John. [Vulture]

ugh kanye. make him go away... his rhymes are bad, his riffs are unoriginal, and his capitalizing on popular indie samples doesn't make him cool... guy looks like beverly hills cop and weezer had a love child.
