Kanye West shows his love for Peter, Bjorn and John

Kanye West may be getting dissed by 50 Cent, but he’s too busy reveling in the placid sounds of Swedish indie-pop band Peter, Bjorn and John to care. “Peter Bjorn and John…shit is dope!!” says West on his blog. The hip-hop star famously sampled Peter, Bjorn and John’s “Young Folks,” and has clearly kept in touch with the trio in subsequent years.

The enthusiastic posting on West’s blog was prompted after the band sent him a new track, which is streaming exclusively at his site. “Drums are crazy and I like the kids on the hook,” says West. “Their new album is called Living Thing. I don’t know the name of the song…LOL!!! I’m gone assume it’s called ‘Nothing to Worry About’.”

With Lil Wayne promising a rock album, 2009 could see the rock and hip-hop worlds coming closer than ever. You can hear the track by Peter, Bjorn and John here.
