It looks like Kanye West’s bad behavior has gotten him into trouble with the celebrity set. George Clooney is hosting a big telethon on Friday (Jan. 22) to aid people affected by the earthquake in Haiti, and Popeater is reporting that the hip-hop star most definitely won’t be invited to the event.
“After what he said on the Katrina telethon and the way he behaved at the MTV Video Music Awards, everyone agrees it’s just best that he does not participate,” said a producer on the show. “Kayne has to make everything about himself. He will do anything to steal the spotlight and, well, this night it’s just not about him.”
A number of stars from the music world will feature at Clooney’s event, with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Taylor Swift all expected to perform. The by-now ubiquitous Wyclef Jean will also make an appearance, and the show will air on MTV, CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS and other networks, so there really will be no avoiding it if you’re near a TV set.
