Recap:
Kanye West continued, and hopefully concluded, his shame tour tonight on the premiere of "The Jay Leno Show." Even before West interrupted Taylor Swift's speech at the VMAs to let everyone know that he felt Beyonce deserved the award, he was scheduled to perform on tonight's premiere, along with Jay-Z and Rihanna. Spotting a pretty easy opportunity, before the trio's scheduled performance of "Run This Town, West let everyone know that he regrets his outburst, but not without Leno getting in a few decent questions.
When Leno asked him how quickly he realized that his little speech didn't go over as intended, West replied with, "As soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn't keep going." After that, when Leno asked him what West thought his late mother would've had to say about his outburst, West spent a very long silence looking like a shamefaced child before he responded. At this point, he's probably wondering if he's bled enough, and the public's probably wondering if he's sincere.

Fresh off his outburst during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West will be interviewed by Jay Leno. Considering tonight marks the debut of Leno's new late night talk show, some people are speculating that Kanye's move at the VMAs was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
Jay-Z is scheduled to perform "Run This Town," off Blueprint 3 with Kanye and Rihanna.
We'll update this post with videos of Kanye's interview and the "Run This Town" performance once they become available online.

mary
Was looking forward to Jay Leno show but i also will not be watching his show after this.
Diane
after watching the interview i seriously doubt that this was a publicity stunt...
kris
I disagree, I watched it (without knowing he was going to be on) and still think it's a publicity stunt from him. Wants everyone to talk about him once again, and it's working...he has no respect for anyone.
kthomson
it's not a publicity stunt.. why the hell would he need a publicity stunt? we all know who the hell kanye west is.. obviously you guys do.. and he doesn't have a scheduled release date for an album anytime soon.. so it was just kanye acting like kanye.. get over it.
jay
Yes...Kanye gets under people's skin. However, he said what many were thinking no matter how inappropiate it may have been. We are so judgemental of people. If those of you who claim Kanye is doing this as a publicity stunt and he just wants people to notice...you have played into his hand. Kanye has issues, as we all do. Stop being hypocrites.

I think this whole things gotten out of hand. Kanye messed up but it's not like he attacked Taylor Swift or anything along those lines. The guy's also apologized several times already what else can be done?

Felt like I was watching a daytime talk show. I wonder if that's going to be a trend.
F the Kanye thing, is anyone else pissed off that Jay Leno is failing to walk away quietly and let Conan take over???
No kidding. He totally did over Conan.
Kanye's 3rd apology on Jay Leno.... Was that really an apology??? Kanye did seem a bit remorseful. Were those tears real??? Read the text of interview here:

LETZ BYONEST
Has he bled enough... no. I looked at Kanye's blog, the first place he appoligized. The first sentence was a reference to a Ben stiller movie. The second sentence was 'I am sorry'. Crappy apology, but the stupidest thing was that the apology blog was his fourth entry that day. Which means that apologizing was only fourth on his list of what was important to do today.
On Jay Leno, I didn't hear him say sorry. I heard him say he wanted to apologize face to face, but that's not an expression of regret. He got emotional because Jay mentioned his dead mother, not because he's sorry.
And, he did attack Taylor. He attacked her by saying she was less than Beyonce. He took something away that she won't ever get back. Did you see the look on Taylors face after he got on stage? She deserves more than half hearted publicity stunts to make up for it.
Elly
kanye is an idiot and deserves to get whatever he gets.it was rude and unprofessional for him to do that and take her moment on stage.as far as leno he gave him the chance to apologize because kanye wanted to so stop bashing leno hes just offering to the general public what he thought they would want to see.its not for everybody just as kanyes music is not for everyone.everybody has an opinion and is entilted to it but we all have to agree that actions like that are unaceptable and not right since he is one of many role mof=dels for children and needs to keep that in mind when he publicaly act up and makes it ok to disrespect people especially a woman and we wonder why so many people out there have no manners and disrespect others and its ok.well its not and until society gets manners back and start treating each others with respect i fear there is no hope for society and we will continue to be dumbed down and looked down upon because of our lack of respect towards others and manners when in public.this is not about music or leno this is about another human being thinking its ok to act up when ever he wants because hes a star and can get away with it.there is an equal or greater action for every action we do that affects more than just us and we need to realize that when we make a decision.in short you need to think before you act and he didnt.sad that we condone this behavior and support someone who does this and complain that society is getting worse.until we as a whole realize that this kind of behavior is what our children idolize and think is right when it is wrong people will continue to view this as acceptable and not think anything of it.i hope this is a wake up call to some and they ban this type of behavior from shows and start teaching people once again what is right and what is not.until this happens our society will become worse and we will treat each other poorly and continue to show no emotion for others and become colder than we already are.
erik
Jay, you are right, Kanye was acting just like himself, Kanye which is the same as a jacka$$, rude, egocentric hungry for attention bastard. So yeah, your right, he was just being Kanye
Karoline
You guys are corny being so d#mn hypocritical. If you've followed Kanye you would see that he's someone that definitely needs help dealing with past issues (his near death in a car accident and his mothers death primarily)... The man just needs help.
And for you that don't like Jay's new show I love it myself, it's a hit and I'll continue to watch!!
Joe
i pesonally feel really bad for kanye, he definately has some serious issues, i just pray that he views that experience as a wake up call, he is a very talented man however is arrogance can be his ultimate down fall, i pray for him to get some clarity, may god bless him.... Taylor Swift is a talented young lady, although she was stunned with kanye's words she handled it like the mature young lady she is.....her mother should be very proud....
