I know this is becoming the kind of the-sky-is-blue type of news. But it's newsworthy if only because fellow Prefix'er Saxon Baird (rightfully so) posted that Kanye West's fifth album was delayed from Sept. 14 to Oct. 12 two friggin' days ago. Pitchfork is now reporting that Yeezy has pushed his album back, yet again, with a wildly specific release date of November.
I'm guessing he decided to delay it one more time just because "Power," like most of his albums' lead singles, hasn't performed that well on the Billboard charts. He's also got another single dropping in a few weeks. It will either be "Lost in the World" or "All of the Lights," the latter of which he previewed via Ustream. Oh, and apparently the lyrics on his upcoming album were inspired by Trent Reznor and Thom Yorke. Interesting. I'd make a comment about Kanye obviously writing some more emotionally driven lyrics, but, um, he kind of covered that with 808s & Heartbreak.
