Kanye And Jay-Z's 'Watch The Throne' Debuts At Number One
Well, it looks like Kanye West and Jay-Z's joint album, Watch The Throne, has hit the predicted numbers we reported on last week. According to Hits Daily Double, the record pushed 436,079 copies. Some 320,893 units were sold via digital retailers while there were 115,186 physical copies sold. This marks Jay's twelfth number one album while it's Kanye's fifth.
It will be interesting to see if Watch The Throne can maintain a strong presence on the charts for multiple weeks like, oh I don't know, Adele. I predict that they'll definitely place high next week, too, as the album only recently hit physical retailers. But after that? Who knows.
