The man in suit & tie isn’t slowing down. With his third album The 20/20 Experience only a few weeks away from its release, Justin Timberlake has been collaborating with more than just Jay Z. Timberlake just announced that he’s been working on even more music with Marcus Mumford from Mumford and Sons. The two have collaborated to soundtrack an upcoming Coen Brothers movie titled Inside Llewyn Davis.
MTV reported that Timberlake stated:
“OK I can tell you this. There’s a Coen Brothers film coming out soon that I was lucky enough to work with Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan.
And coincidentally I did work with Marcus Mumford on the soundtrack, so I became very good friends with them.
Marcus and myself we all kind of worked on the music together and I don’t know any other world where we would have the opportunity to collaborate like that but it was so much fun. So not only will that be a great movie, but the music to it will be fantastic.”
Starring Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan (who happens to be married to Marcus Mumford), the film depicts the 60s folk scene in the Greenwich Village, New York. It’s loosely based on folk icon Dave Von Ronk. So not only is he acting in the film, but also producing music for the soundtrack. He’s a busy man indeed.
The film is schedule to be released to theaters December 2013.
