Oddly enough, Sittin' in a Tree is the title of the forthcoming EP from Juliana Hatfield and Frank Smith. Odd too is that Frank Smith is one of those "it's actually a band and not just one person's name" kind of deals. Like Rilo Kiley. For the longest time I thought that was Jenny Lewis' name. So yeah, Frank Smith isn't just one dude--they're an up-and-coming Boston alt-country band. They teamed with Hatfield to record six songs in six days. The EP will be released through Hatfield's own Ye Old Record Label. You can hear the song "A Beer and a Shot" on Hatfield's MySpace and "364" at Frank Smith's.
