Julian Casablancas’ Phrazes for the Young album is released today (Nov. 2), and the singer has been talking about some special plans for the holiday season. An attempt at a Christmas song is on the cards for the Strokes singer, who plans to record a version of “I Wish It Was Christmas Today.”
"It was a fun thing to do. Everyone seems to do a Christmas song at some point, so I always said to myself I'd do that song," Casablancas said. "I now checked that off the list of things to do!" The song, which will be familiar to any long-term Saturday Night Live viewers, will be available for download and as a 7-inch single in December.
