Hey, if Johnny Marr can pen sitcom theme songs, what's wrong with Julian Casablancas wanting to tap into the sports arena and lend his musical talents?
That's just what the Strokes frontman plans to do next according to an interview in Rolling Stone, in which Casablancas says that he wants to write a TV theme song for the New York Mets. "I'm totally serious--I have some ideas, I have to see if they like it," the singer says of his hometown salute. With their somewhat disappointing season(s), the Mets could use a little rocking jolt, but wouldn't this just be another "distraction" that initially caused the delay of the Strokes' fourth LP? pretty cool that he wants to do this, but yeah that strokes album is never coming out. haha
maybe he needs Kevin Shields to help out.
Yaaaay. This is the highlight of my season as a Mets fan
