To promote his solo debut, Phrazes for the Young, Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas sat down for his first on-camera interview in three years to answer questions about recording (doing solo stuff allows him to do what he wants, quite shockingly), what bands he's listening to (Dirty Projectors, Beach House, Beirut, Telepathe and that's it, pretty much), and about the new Strokes album, which is still in the planning stages apparently, because he has no idea how it's going to sound. Phrazes for the Young is due out on Rough Trade sometime this fall. [Stereogum]
