
Julian Casablancas, who recently said in a Spin interview that “everything [he’s] ever done with The Strokes feels so negative,” is maybe trying to feel a little more positive by teaming up on a song with Digitalism. Casablancas and the German electronic duo have apparently co-written a track called “Forrest Gump,” a name that brings to mind the old admonition not to judge a book by its cover. According to NME, the two parties worked on the song via email and, per Digitalism’s Jens Moelle, crafted a track about "constantly keeping on moving otherwise you’ll be in some sort of psychic peril." The new song will appear on Digitalism’s upcoming album I Love You Dude. Tracklisting just below:
