UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo crashed his motorcycle on Sept. 1 in the Copacabana area of Rio de Janeiro, but he emerged from the scene with only minor scratches and a swollen foot.
According to a Sherdog.com report, Aldo will still be able to defend his 145-pound title against Frankie Edgar on Oct. 13 at Rio’s HSBC Arena.
“The only concern is the swollen foot, but there was no fracture,” Aldo’s trainer, Andre Pederneiras, told Tatame.com. “He is going to rest this week and get back to training next week. He also has some scratches on his knee, leg and butt, but we believe there won’t be a problem.”
