Jon Stewart is sooo indie

Apparently avenging the bookeaters wasn't enough for America's (or at least the blue part of its) favorite fake news anchor. 'Cuz he's not done reppin' the indie rock. To celebrate The Daily Show's 10 years on the air, Stewart and his cohorts are throwing themselves a big ol' rock and roll party. It will star Superchunk (damn Mac gets around), Clem Snide, The Upper Crust, and a "super secret fourth band to be announced later," according to Merge's website. The Daily Show crew will be on hand to ham it up between sets. All of this is going down November 16th at the Irving Plaza in New York City. Proceeds once again go to Dave Eggars' 826 NYC tutoring program. Perchance Jonny boy will use the event to announce his candidacy for president in '08?
