Johnny Marr To Score Film With Banderas, Snoop

Former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr has been a bit of a hired gun in the last half of the '00s. In 2006 he joined Modest Mouse to help write We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Last year, he joined the trio of siblings that make up the Cribs for Ignore the Ignorant. Now Marr will be penning the sore to the film The Big Bang.

The film, a crime thriller which will see release in 2010, features Antonio Banderas and Snoop Dogg. With Marr's history of collaboration, maybe we'll get some smoked out rapping and intricate guitar work for the next Shrek movie credits. [The Daily Swarm]
