Back to school with Johnny Marr

After Morrissey turned down a whopping $75 million to tour with his Smiths counterpart, Johnny Marr, Mr. Marr had no choice but to go find a proper job. And that he did. According to a recent report by BBC News, Johnny Marr has just become a visiting professor of music. Students at University of Salford in Manchester, England are undoubtedly running to the registrar'''s office to sign up for Professor Marr'''s classes in pop culture and recording. Finally a use for that ''"Louder Than Bombs''" songbook!
Devoted Smiths fans will undoubtedly recognize Manchester as The Smiths hometown and the really obsessed fans may even pick up on the fact that Salford was the backdrop to the cover photo from the seminal Smiths album ''"The Queen is Dead.''"
Looks like Marr will just have to schedule his Modest Mouse tours during summer break and Christmas recess.
