Johnny Marr was involved in the Inception soundtrack in 2010 and it looks like he may be heading further into that type of work judging by this look at his purchases at Amoeba Music in Hollywood. He discusses Ennio Morricone’s Crime and Dissonance album, which was released on Mike Patton’s Ipecac label, as well as a Bernard Herrmann documentary, an album by Bonobo, a couple of Wire CDs, and plenty of other interesting stuff. It looks like the former Smiths man has more eclectic taste than some might have expected—especially considering the sub-par nature of his work with the Healers, which simply tapped into the post-Oasis pub rock/lad rock boom. Judging from this, his next move should be fascinating.
