John Vanderslice offers free remix album(s)

John Vanderslice loves his remixes. And he's probably the most generous soul in the music business.
His MGM Endings record saw studio wizard Scott Solter make a complete overhaul of 2004's Cellar Door, and now Solter has taken a crack at 2005's Pixel Revolt. Both are available to download for free at JV's website.
The result is a dreamy mix of decidedly non-poppy sounds that are loosely based/sound absolutely nothing like the JV originals. Lots of ambient sounds, lots of distorted noise and no vocals in sight.
And yet there's something entrancing about these tunes, kinda like being in the minds of JV's characters. The really warped ones, at least.
Download Scott Solter Remixes Pixel Revolt in Analog here. And while you're at it, download MGM Endings here.
