John Norris Criticizes "TRL"

Now that John Norris is no longer an employee for MTV networks, the former VJ is ready to burn some bridges. When discussing the programming on the music channel, Norris had some harsh words for one particular show. "The era of MTV in the early-to-mid ’90s was the last hurrah of VJs and newspeople telling you the way things are," he reflected. "TRL changed that, and took the audience and made them a part of the show."

Apparently, this new format did not sit well with the on-air host. "TRL was really lame, especially the music. The usual suspects were all the boy bands and the pop girls, but in the late ’90s it was that whole new-metal garbage like Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Papa Roach. And fucking Staind."

Guess he never asked to go into the photo booth with them. [The Daily Swarm]

Didn't ya'll see that interview John Norris did with Dirty Projectors? He like totally understands "good" music, and stuff. I bet he is a "cool" bro I could "chill" with.
