A movie about John Lennon’s childhood, titled Nowhere Boy, is reportedly in pre-production, and about to start casting. The film, penned by Control scribe Matt Greenhalgh, follows Lennon’s childhood from the traumatic experience of being abandoned by his mother and raised by his aunt, to his burgeoning friendship with Paul McCartney. Artist Sam Taylor-Wood is directing the film, and it will be shot on location in Liverpool. [Reuters]
I really enjoyed Control. I wonder who they have in mind to play Lennon. I know it may sound cliché but, Heath Ledger may have been great. I’m sure whoever the get will be just as good.
