Apparently Julien Temple's documentary Joe Strummer: The Future is Unwritten, which premiered at Sundance to rave reviews, isn't the only Strummer movie project out there. NME reports that lefty-meister Tim Robbins is producing a Strummer biopic. And he's tapping New York City rockers Radio 4 to provide the music.
Hmmm...while not as worrisome as the prospect of Zach Braff playing Elliot Smith, this project doesn't exactly sound very promising. When I think of a band that recalls The Clash, I really don't think Radio 4. In fact, I don't think much of anything good about that band.
