As we previously reported, the Clash's Joe Strummer is the latest in a line of musicians to have his life taken to the big screen. But when we first found out about his biopic more than a year ago, we didn't know its name or who was directing. Both of those tidbits of information were revealed today by Variety, which reports that actress/director Julie Delpy will serve as the director and that the film is titled The Right Profile. It's an interesting name choice given that it will deal with Strummer's life after the Clash -- The Right Profile is also a song on the band's London Calling. No word yet on when we can expect to see it or who is playing Strummer. [P4K]
Update: In related news, website Stummerville is releasing a calendar and two Christmas cards in memory of the tenth anniversary of Strummer's passing. The calendar features 12 of his most inspirational quotes while the cards depict one of his drawings and a never-before-seen photo of Strummer. You can watch a promo for the cards and calendar below.
