Joe Jackson's first album in four years will be released by Rykodisc on January 29, which was made with three of the four original band members. Entitled "Rain," the album promises to keep in line with Jackson's ever eclectic and genre-stretching approach.

"I wasn't in a hurry to make a new album," Jackson says. "I promised myself that I wouldn't make a record until I had an album's worth of songs that were the best I could do...and I wanted to have 10 or 12 songs that I felt that way about before I put out another album." Jackson plans to tour shortly after the release, but no dates have been announced yet.
