Joaquin Phoenix’s Hip-Hop Documentary Gets Release Date And Title

It’s been a while since we heard anything about the movie Joaquin Phoenix was making about his sudden transformation into a rapper, but now a release date is forthcoming. The film is titled I’m Still Here and is being promoted by Magnolia Pictures as “a portrait of an artist at a crossroads.” Uh, right.

Casey Affleck’s movie will be released on Sept. 10, and is described by Magnolia spokesman Matt Cowal as: “not a mockumentary by any means. I think the film speaks for itself.” What happened to Phoenix’s mooted album produced by Diddy remains a mystery—perhaps the film will shed some light on that—but expect more tiresome antics (see videos above and below) from the former actor when the movie nears its release date.
