Joaquin Phoenix's Hip-Hop Documentary Gets Release Date And Title

It’s been a while since we heard anything about the movie Joaquin Phoenix was making about his sudden transformation into a rapper, but now a release date is forthcoming. The film is titled I’m Still Here and is being promoted by Magnolia Pictures as “a portrait of an artist at a crossroads.” Uh, right.

Casey Affleck’s movie will be released on Sept. 10, and is described by Magnolia spokesman Matt Cowal as: "not a mockumentary by any means. I think the film speaks for itself.” What happened to Phoenix’s mooted album produced by Diddy remains a mystery—perhaps the film will shed some light on that—but expect more tiresome antics (see videos above and below) from the former actor when the movie nears its release date.

Remember when Joaquin didn't parade around like a modern-day Ginsberg meets Rick Rubin on ludes? No, I don't either.
