Joanna Newsom has already announced a bout of touring for the early part of 2010, and now news of a new album from the inimitable singer has emerged. The hipster harpist will release Have One On Me on Feb. 23, which was hinted at in this odd cartoon strip, which preceded the news.
Newsom’s Australian label, Spunk, broke the news about the record, although no details about collaborators or a track listing are available yet. Newsom’s brief set of North American dates begin just after the release of the album, with a date at the Calvin College Chapel in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on March 12.
Excellent. Can't wait.

Great to see my favorite harpist getting some respect!
