Joanna Newsom reveals tracklist

Over the past couple of years, theres been a ton of terms bandied about trying to properly capture the essence of Joanna Newsom. Elfin, child-like and bat-shit crazy all immediately come to mind. Regardless of which camp you fall into, theres no denying that the woman holds peoples attention. With that in mind, we thought you might like to know that the tracklist for her forthcoming album Ys has been revealed.

The album, out November 14 on Drag City, will contain only five songs but theyre supposedly really, really long. Really. As reported by various sources, the album features arrangements by Van Dyke Parks, the legendary Beach Boys collaborator. Jim ORourke also lent a helping hand. Enlisting heavyweights like that would suggest shes bat-shit crazy like a fox if anything, but I digress.
