Given how much I enjoyed (and still enjoy) Ys, I'm going to try and give this one the benefit of the doubt, but it's taking a lot of effort. Sometime this April, Drag City will release a new Joanna Newsom EP entitled Joanna Newsom and the Ys Street Band.
Ridiculous title aside, here's the info on the disc. It was recorded by Newsom and her touring band and will feature one new track and a couple of new reworked versions of previous Newsom tracks from Milk-Eyed Mender and Ys. No concrete tracklist or release date has been announced as yet.
