Joan Jett Talks About Working with Kristen Stewart on <i>The Runaways</i>

Forget Twilight. Joan Jett is hoping audiences will fall in love with the next Kristen Stewart vehicle, The Runaways. The legendary rocker serves as the executive producer for the film, based on the all-female band she fronted between 1975-79.

"Kristen was so into it, into the whole vibe of doing this," Jett said of her onscreen counterpart. "I think she felt a weight and a responsibility to interpret it correctly. She was really serious about it and was watching me and asking me all sorts of questions, from speech aspects to watching my body language, watching where I stood, watching my guitar playing. She really worked hard to get it right."

The film, which also stars Dakota Fanning and Michael Shannon, is scheduled for release in 2010. [Billboard.com]
