Wow, how have we here at Prefix not caught on to this girl already? Joan Wasser has spent time in Antony's Johnsons, Rufus Wainwright's backing band, and other bands with the likes of Steve Drozd, Michael Tighe, and Fred Armisen. Wasser's album under her Joan as Police Woman guise, Real Life, has been garnering accolades in the U.K. for a while now, and will finally see a U.S. release on June 12. And she will soon be playing a select set of U.S. dates with Wainwright and Andrew Bird. Of course I have to throw in here that Joan is also super cute, but please note that I kept that detail until last.
