Jimmy Fallon confirms the Roots as his house band (Video)
In a post on his new blog that details the goings-on at his show, Jimmy Fallon has finally confirmed that The Roots will be his house band. To see irrefutable video proof, go here.
I have to say, I had zero interest in watching anything involving Fallon after his run on SNL, but with The Roots involved, his show just became incredibly more appealing. [via Pitchfork]
In other NBC News, the network is keeping Leno, Conan and Fallon by giving Leno his own show at 10 p.m. Big day for late night talk show news.

Jimmy Fallon and his wife first met The Roots last Memorial Day Weekend when they performed at the Jazz Reggae Festival @ UCLA. The Roots played an amazing set, and Fallon instantly hit it off with them backstage. They've been in touch ever since, and now The Roots are Fallon's in house band for his late night TV show
