Harlem's apparent chief Diplomat and Jay-Z's most persistent rival, Jim Jones, is set to capitalize off of his well known skirmish with Jay-Z by dropping his own FREE mixtape on November 6, Harlem's American Gangsta. Presumably titled and released to take advantage of Jay's own album dropping that day, American Gangster, the mixtape will apparently be hosted by former Jay-Z friend and less successful Jay-Z enemy Dame Dash, who has his own movie dropping alongside the upcoming American Gangster film, entitled Mr. Untouchable. Dash's film is a biography on Nicky Barnes, and for those of you not thoroughly confused yet, Barnes was the major rival of Frank Lucas, the subject of American Gangster, whose film is soundtracked by Jay-Z's upcoming release.
We'll give you a minute to collect yourselves.
Jim Jones, of course, cares very little for either film's subject. He told Miss Info, "Nicky Barnes and Frank Lucas was both snitches, so neither one of them were real American gangsters to me." The week of November 6 promises to be a big one for fans of Jay-Z, Jim Jones, the Dip Set, or general chaos, as Jay, Jones, Dip Set A&R Duke da God (who drops The Eye Of The Eagle on that day) and Cam'ron (who drops his Public Enemy #1 mixtape on November 7) all have projects slated for release. Ain't no love in the heart of the city, indeed.
