Jerry Fuchs, Drummer for !!!, The Juan Maclean, and Maserati Dies

Jerry Fuchs, drummer for the bands !!!, the Juan Maclean, and Maserati died this weekend in Brooklyn. He was 34.

Fuchs was at a party in Williamsburg thrown by the Uniform project, when he tried to jump out of a disabled elevator car. According to ABC News his clothing caught on something and he fell five stories down the elevator shaft. When he arrived at Bellevue Hospital Center he was unconscious and unresponsive; he was pronounced dead at 3:30 a.m.

Fuchs' bandmates in Maserati had this to say about Fuchs: "[Maserati] with overwhelming sadness, bids farewell to our drummer and dear friend Jerry Fuchs. Love you, bro." The Juan Maclean's John Maclean wrote about Fuchs on the band's website. [Gothamist]
