Jeff Tweedy And His Sons Release Their First Song As The Raccoonists

Apparently when Jeff Tweedy isn't working on the new Wilco album, The Whole Love, he's hanging out with his sons, Sam and Spencer. And they're not just doing the typical father-son activities. The three Tweedy men have joined forces as The Raccoonists and we have their first recording here in "Own It," a rockin' goofball-ish jam that was actually recorded in Sam and Spencer's bedroom. The track is the B-side to a new series of Deerhoof singles that feature guest vocalists singing over the instrumentals from Deerhoof Vs. Evil. Jeff leads the way on the A-side, "Behold a Marvel in the Darkness," while Spencer provides back-up vocals.

The single, "Behold a Raccoon in the Darkness," is due out Oct. 11 on Polyvinyl. You can watch the fucking amazing video for "Own It" below. No joke, it's probably the best use of found footage I've seen yet.
