Yes! We already knew that the elusive Jeff Mangum, he of Neutral Milk Hotel fame, will be performing at the ATP I’ll Be Your Mirror festival in Asbury Park, N.J., Sept. 30 and Oct. 3, but all of you who won’t be able to make it up to the Garden State can still relive some of the greatest songs of the 1990s.
Mangum will be curating and headlining All Tomorrow’s Parties, which takes place at Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead, Somerset, U.K., from Dec. 2-4. The Raincoats, Superchunk, Young Marble Giants and about 35 others are also appearing. Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb, 18. Full details on available here.
But that’s not all! Mangum has also announced a couple of additional shows stateside. On Sept. 9 he will perform at as-yet-unnamed venue (“an historic 1,150-capacity venue to be announced next week,” according to a press release) and the next night, Sept. 10, he’ll be at Jordan Hall at the New England Conservatory in Boston. Presale tickets for that second show go on sale Feb. 25th at the Jordan Hall box office. Rest assured that you’ll be the first to know whenever we figure out where that first show will be. In the meantime, leave ideas in the comments.
No promises, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up adding a few more dates, as well. To see Jeff Mangum, your options currently look like this:
09.10 Boston, MA: Jordan Hall at New England Conservatory
09.30 Asbury Park, NJ: Paramount Theater (ATP I’ll Be Your Mirror)
